Soon, “The Graduation March” will be played at most high schools and colleges. It’s always a bittersweet time for everyone – especially parents.
I recently stayed at a dear friend’s architecturally beautiful home in Sea Ranch, California. I’m used to spoiling my guests to make them feel comfortable in our home, but my friend outdid me! Imagine that! Ha!
Since my mother lives on the opposite side of the country, it’s important for me to send her a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day when I can’t be there.
The special month of April brings showers and blooming flowers, but also Easter and Passover.
Who doesn’t love a surprise? Especially a beautifully packaged one? I just love how a surprise can make a heart go pitter-patter. Kind gestures make me smile…but it’s the details that make a surprise extra special.
‘Tis the season for giving. It’s the onset of the holidays and there’s usually one big question: What do I get the person who has everything?
So, your kids are off to college or boarding school? Studying abroad? Your loved one started a new job? Your dear friends moved to a new town?
As a child, I was proudly raised to bring a hostess gift as a thank you whenever I was invited to someone’s home for an event.
