Graduates, It’s Interview Time!

Ladies, you want to nail that interview? Well, as I always say, you need to dress for success! But first, here are a couple of pointers before I recommend a few interview outfit essentials:

Research your potential new company’s leaders and understand their dress code. What do they wear in photos?
Sit in front of a mirror to make positively sure that your dress or skirt is not too short and your buttons on your blouse are not popping open.
Carry only one bag whether it’s a tote, backpack or computer bag. Don’t carry too many things that may look unwieldy. Handbags are like business cards for women, remember!
Wear low heels. Tripping or skidding is the worst!

Here are some new favorite looks of mine to clinch that interview and land a full-time job!

Always wear a jacket with your outfit. It’s a more professional look. Nordy’s has a great selection of coats at reasonable prices.

Wear a statement necklace. Depending on the formality of your outfit and after you’ve Googled the heck out of the company’s dress code, I recommend a classic short strand of pearls. One other suggestion would be a silver link chain necklace if the gals are wearing more of a casual look in the office.

Hold a resume in a cover or an IPad case. You’re dressing for success, right? Well, make sure your resume is too with a professional cover. I recommend the Ullu IPad Air case. If you take great care and detail of choosing the right outfit and accessories for this interview, you’ll come across as being very organized and prepared for the job.

It’s okay to wear pants. Fashionable ones I might add! The wide-legged pants are really in now and if you couple it with a cute belted jacket and a simple blouse - wowza, you’ll get the job! (I hope!)

Always look the part!
