NYC Shopping Spotlight

Every trip to NYC should be about theatre, wine, dining, and of course, shopping! Here are a few fun and fashionable stores that I always make sure to visit when I’m in town:

Marc Jacobs

The minute I walked into the store on Prince Street my eyes beelined to the new Sunshine Multi Snapshot bag. Its a small bag that you can wear over one shoulder, as a cross body bag and even as a belt bag or as they called it eons ago, a fanny pack. The bright yellow and black pattern on the fabric strap is detachable and you can purchase a leather strap if you don’t like the bright hues. There are also other fabulous patterns and solid colors to choose from. What I also like about this petite bag is that it doesn’t scream Marc Jacobs in bold letters, it simply has the double J on the front. It’s super cute and a great travel bag for holding all your essentials.

Wolford

I’ve always turned to Wolford for their elegant hosiery, but this time I went outside of my comfort zone. I purchased one of their Hiroko string body suits with a black and white geometric design and a high neckline. It’s so comfortable and looks great with my black pencil skirt and black fishnet stockings. I’ll put on my oxblood suede boots and I'm good to go!

Prada

Okay, I went a little bit crazy on my last trip. Ha! I purchased a short black jacket called the Giacca Natte Double Nero, which can be worn off the shoulder with an elegant gown. Or, if I want a more casual look, I can wear the jacket zipped up with a tee shirt and jeans. It’s that versatile. And, if you’re looking for a cute pair of black or navy suede platforms shoes, try on the Calzature Camoscio. They’re great with dresses and with black pants.

Rag and Bone

We all know this brand has great jeans, but the Soho store also has a DJ called Killah Cam who plays on the weekends and really puts you in the hip-hop mood to shop!
