What’s In Fashion For The Fourth?

Red, white and blue, of course! I love color blocking to mix things up. Color blocking is when your outfit is made up different solid colors and sometimes mixed with different patterns. It’s fun, it’s festive, it’s perfect for the 4th of July! Live it up!

Here is a simple, casual outfit I recommend wearing on Independence Day:

Red hoodie sweatshirt or red jacket
Whether you're going to a bbq or a beach party, having a sweatshirt or jacket for layering can help with the weather elements. Zappos has a great selection with a mix of prices and shades of red.

2. White t-shirt
Underneath your red hoodie or jacket, wear a classic, simple white t-shirt. My favorite is called the Johnna by Theory. I cannot get enough of Theory’s t’s!

3. White cross body bag
You need a bag to carry all of your personal essentials, right? Strap this one on by J. Crew. It’s a fabulous option!

4. Navy or royal blue patterned skort or mini skirt
To wrap up this cute outfit and give it some wow, wear a blue patterned skirt. I love this gingham-pleated skirt by J. Crew. I also like this patterned skort by H&M.

Now that I’ve pulled together a patriotic outfit for you, mix it up and make it yours. All you have to do is go shopping! If you need my help with creating some fun fashions for the fourth, Just Ask via the comments below, email (robin@robinlaub.com), Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
