Best Bridal Shower Gifts

I was recently at a bridal shower and wowee did those bridesmaids have it down pat as to keep moving the bride-to-be along while opening gifts. There was one bridesmaid who started to open a gift, one who took the card out of the envelope, one who collected the wrapping paper for recycling, one who gathered the bows, and one who wrote down who gave what for thank you notes later. It was such an impressive assembly line. My! have things changed since my last bridal shower! And for the good, because back in “my day”, it would get pretty boring waiting for the next gift to be opened. ha!

So, if you’re headed to a bridal shower soon, I have five of the best bridal shower gifts to share:

1. Anything that says, “Mr. and Mrs. + their married last name.” Whether it’s a hand-painted plaque, a mailbox, or a box of thank you notes. Splendid!

2. A “Mrs. + married last name” hanger for the wedding gown. I truly love this one. It’s great for that popular photo of the dress hanging up before the bride walks in it down the aisle.

3. For a December wedding, give a basket of Christmas decorations for their new home! A “first Christmas” ornament with a place to add the couple’s wedding photo or monogram would be very thoughtful.

4. Lingerie. So old school, but so well received! Make sure to confirm the bride’s sizes beforehand.

5. A “stock the bar” basket or ice bucket. Fill it with the bride’s favorite champagne, cocktail ingredients, flutes, cocktail napkins, bar tools, etc. so she’ll have her favorite beverages on her big day. If you need help putting one together, Just Ask me!

Dum dum da dum (think wedding song march)!
