Blogging and Eating in Manhattan

I recently attended my first official blogging conference in NYC called BlogHer15 – so watch out for some great content coming your way! While I was in the city, I also learned about so many cool restaurants. My brain is pulsating with tons of new information, so here’s just a tidbit of what I discovered at the conference followed by 5 wonderful NYC walking tours.

The BlogHer15 is the world's largest conference for women content creators and I sure learned a lot! For instance…

  • Bloggers are called content creators.
  • Branding is about being authentic. Your blog should scream YOU and touch your readers.
  • Sometimes “useless knowledge” can be useful blogging.
  • Have a 60 second pitch ready to go. Explain the problem and then explain the solution.
  • Be persistent and keep attaining knowledge for your business and your blog.
  • Publish early and publish often.
  • Vlog (video blogging) is big right now. Be succinct and creative for your viewers.

Not only did I learn about how to be a better blogger and vlogger, I learned how to be a power walker and power eating machine in NYC. Woohoo! Here are my 5 recommended walking and eating tours:

1)

  1. Walk the High Line starting at West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Ave
  2. Eat lunch at Santina Restaurant
  3. Walk the newly opened Whitney Museum

2)

  2. Eat a pre-theater dinner at Toloache Restaurant
  3. Attend Book of Mormon
