Packing The Perfect Summer Carry-On

It’s almost officially summer travel season, so I’d like to share some of my favorite packing tips that I know you’ll all want to hear about. I’m sure you’ve heard me rant and rave about some of these before, but these three items are very important carry-on essentials!

1) Pack a light-weight scarf

to act as a sarong for those beach days
to act as a make-shift umbrella during those surprise rain falls
to act as an evening wrap when the sun goes down
to act as a blanket on the plane

2) Pack a wrap dress

A classic Diane Von Furstenburg or a sporty one from Athleta would be perfect. They’re easy to pack, comfortable to wear and (typically) wrinkle-free. Truly perfect for any summer occasion.

3) Pack a few sunscreens

Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, sunscreen is a must! These all come in travel sizes or as samples. If all else fails, make your own sample size to keep to the 4 oz. airport security size.

I use Révive Even Skin Tone Cream with SPF 30 and Révive Neck Renewal Cream with SPF 15 every morning.
I also use Bobbie Brown tinted moisturizing balm with an additional SPF 25 on top of my moisturizer. My face is not only being hydrated but it’s being protected by sun’s toxic elements and hiding some of my unwanted blemishes.
For a fashionable look, I use Bobbie Brown’s tinted moisturizer SPF 15 for my arms and legs to make my skin appear tan. I don’t sit out in the sun anymore for a glow. I’ll use products instead and keep my face and body wrinkle free! (Well, as much as possible. ha!)
I use Rituals Aesthetic Skincare sunscreen for an all-over body sunscreen when I’m enjoying water sports or any other outdoor activity.
For outdoor sports, I frequently use SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 for my face, too.
