Traditions

The holidays are officially here! Besides all of the fun parties, delicious food and fabulous style – I look forward to the holiday traditions.
One of my favorite holiday traditions here in the Bay Area is to visit San Francisco’s Union Square and gaze at the enormous and majestic Christmas tree. I make a point of visiting it every year and make a day of it, too.

I'll also make a hair appointment at the famous hair salon, Stephen Saiz Salon and have Stephen, the hair master, cut and style my hair. It’s been said that Stephen gives me a celebrity looking haircut, which is lustrous. Hollywood, here I come! Ha!

After my Hollywood haircut, I’ll make a quick stop at Bancarella, the café adjacent to the spectacular ice-skating rink and order my favorite non-fat cappuccino with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Mmmmm.

Next I’ll meander over to the Grand Union Square with the Christmas tree all alit and beautiful, and I’ll probably take a selfie or two and post it on Instagram right then and there! It’s all about being social :)

I’ll also stop into a few shops in the square to get my fashion fix and clever ideas for my clients. I’ll look way up high at Macy’s windows adorned with wreaths, I’ll view the large hanging Christmas tree at the foyer of Neiman Marcus and walk down Maiden Lane to get a glimpse of Gump’s precious items. Oh, how I love the holidays!

After all of that walking, viewing and gazing, my stomach will probably growl. Luckily, I have the perfect place to dine at!

Just a few walking blocks from Union Square is a quaint alley with outdoor dining called Claude Lane. So French, so wonderful, so me! I enjoy eating at Café Claude, which serves French fare. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a lovely lunch of maybe a pommes frites or two.

After my full-day jaunt to the city of spectacular San Francisco, I finally plunk down at one of the many SF fireside lounges for a cup of tea, Kusmi tea, that is! (Stay tuned for my top fireside lounges and fire pits around the Bay Area.)

Wherever you’ll be this season, I highly recommend enjoying past traditions or creating new ones. You can enjoy them with your entire family, a special group of friends or even by yourself. It makes the holidays feel extra special. If you need some fun ideas, Just Ask!

Happy Holidays!
